Job Description
About the Role
Reporting to the State Manager – VIC/TAS, the Business Development Manager – Wholesale and Contractor role plays a key role in driving growth across the Wholesale and Contractor market segments. This role is focused on developing strong, long term customer relationships, supporting account growth, and contributing to a collaborative, results driven team where initiative and impact are valued.
Your key accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:
Drive growth within the Wholesale and Contractor channel by developing value led strategies, building strong relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.
Maintain a regular call cycle with contractors and wholesalers, delivering tailored solutions, education, and support to meet customer and market needs.
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver projects successfully, prepare proposals and presentations, negotiate agreements, and provide market insights to support sales and marketing initiatives.
Stay informed on industry trends and competitors, provide regular reporting on activity and performance, and represent the business at client and company events as required.
Contribute to the efficacy and advancement of our QMS/EMS by upholding and promoting our quality and environmental policies in all job functions.
Additional duties as required from time to time as per business requirements.

About You
Success in this role means being drive by the ability to build strong relationships, deliver value led growth across the Wholesale and Contractor channel, and collaborate effectively to achieve strong commercial outcomes. They will also bring:
Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a similar role within the electrical, wholesale, construction, or related technical industries, with electrical industry exposure an advantage.
Strong commercial and strategic capability, including relationship building, opportunity identification, project management, and the ability to deliver results against sales targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and organisational skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build long term partnerships.
Demonstrated leadership qualities, high energy and self motivation, strong attention to detail, and a current valid driver’s licence.
