Job Description
About the Role
Reporting to the State Manager – VIC/TAS the Customer Service Officer – Project Estimating role plays a vital role in preparing accurate cost estimates through the analysis of project proposals and requirements. The role also involves effectively communicating information relating to our products, services, and pricing to internal and external stakeholders.
Your key accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:
Prepare accurate project sales estimates by analysing customer requirements, products, and opportunities.
Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Technical Services, Operations, and Business Development Managers) to deliver detailed and timely project quotations.
Manage and resolve quotation related queries, while maintaining accurate records of customer interactions in the CRM system.
Support the sales team with customer service as needed, while adhering to company quality standards and continuously building technical knowledge through training.
Contribute to the efficacy and advancement of our QMS/EMS by upholding and promoting our quality and environmental policies in all job functions.
Additional duties as required from time to time as per business requirements.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
Success in this role will come from combining strong attention to detail with effective collaboration, clear communication, and a customer focused approach to delivering accurate project estimates. They will also bring:
3+ years’ experience in or alongside estimating and quoting within the electrical industry or with a lighting Supplier/Wholesale space (preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Initiative and the ability to problem solve.
The ability to work both autonomously and within a tight-knit team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office-based programs.
Exceptional time management skills.
Be proactive and show Initiative.
