Job Description

About the Role

Reporting to the Sales Manager – Wholesalers (NSW/ACT), the Business Development Manager role is key to driving Clevertronics' growth strategy, with a strong focus on expanding our footprint in lower-tier new construction and upgrade projects. You’ll be responsible for identifying business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and delivering results that contribute directly to our continued success.

Your key accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive business through the T3/4 contractor channel, working in conjunction with the NSW Wholesale team. Reviewing project opportunities, quotations, and ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Business growth through strategic planning, market analysis, and relationship-building with electrical contractors.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver client solutions, craft persuasive proposals, and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and provide insightful reporting to support decision-making.
  • Contribute to overall team success by supporting broader business activities as needed.
  • Contribute to the efficacy and advancement of our QMS/EMS by upholding and promoting our quality and environmental policies in all job functions.
  • Contribute to quality and environmental standards (ISO9001 & ISO14001)
  • Additional duties as required from time to time as per business requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

Success in this role will require someone who is able to build strong industry relationships, uncover valuable opportunities and drives tangible business growth – becoming a trusted partner to contactors and a key contributor to our market expansion. They will also bring:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within Electrical, Wholesale, Construction, or related technical industries
  • Strong industry knowledge, communication skills, and ability to foster lasting client relationships
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets through strategic thinking and effective project management
  • Excellent organisational, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Must hold a current valid driver’s license
